Dubai Afghanistan and Namibia extended their winning run in the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers by recording their fourth victory in a row on the fourth day of the tournament on Friday.

Afghanistan beat Nepal by 34 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium through yet another brilliant performance from Karim Sadiq. He hit 52 runs off 39 balls with three sixers and one boundary to help Afghanistan post 157 for 6 and restrict Nepal to 123 for 6.

Namibia got the better of Uganda by four runs at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Opener Raymond Van Schoor cracked 60 runs to help Namibia post 140 for 5. Needing 10 runs off the last two balls it looked like Uganda may pull off a stunning victory.

Papua New Guinea (PNG) held their nerves to beat Hong Kong by four wickets with just one ball to spare. PNG chased the target of 132 for victory through opener Tony Ura’s fighting 46 runs.

Meanwhile, Kenya ended its losing streak defeating Italy by seven wickets at the Zayed Cricket Staidum. A 47-ball 79 from Alex Obanda helped Kenya reached the target of 146 runs set by Italy.

Ireland scored an emphatic 64 runs victory over United States of America. This was Ireland’s third straight victory after its first match defeat to Namibia.

Scotland Callum Macleod won his third man of the match award to steer his team to 52 runs victory over Oman while Canada scored a thumping 72 runs victory over Bermuda.
