Dubai: The Danube Lions maintained their unbeaten run to win the Millionaire Corporate Indoor Cricket Cup at the Chevrolet InSportz Club this week.
In the Division A final, Danube Lions (99) secured an easy 70-run win against Petromann (29) to walk away with the title.
Batting first, Danube were off to a rollicking start with Saquib (13) and Sachin (26) doing all the hard work. Vikrant (15), Ravi (10), Omar (13) and Esmail (16) further consolidated the scoring to help Danube reach 99 in their allotted 16 overs.
Petromann had a dismal start as Danube bowlers Fayyaz (three for four runs) and Saqib (three for two) kept the Petromann batsmen pegged even as Kartik (17) and Kumara (13) staged a fightback.
Venky from Petromann was awarded the player of the tournament for his 39 runs and 11 wickets. Best batsman award went to Petromann's Usman for his 72 runs, while Ashraf from Natural Stones took the best bowler prize.
In Division B, Kakeez (111) beat WIFI (88) by 23 runs, while Two Oceans (104) beat Interface Transworld (59) by 45 runs to walk away with the Division C crown.
