Abu Dhabi: In celebration of their one millionth member the National Health Insurance Company (Daman) has awarded health insurance members under the numbers 999,999, 1,000,000 and 1,000,001.
The awards included a shopping voucher worth Dh2,000, an airline ticket and a crystal trophy for each of the winners.
Since the beginning of its inauguration in the middle of 2006, Daman has set up eight branches with more than 900 employees and has a market share of around 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi where more than 70 per cent of insurance members arrived in groups, while the rest enrolled as individuals.
Daman will organise a seminar in May on the changes that healthcare and health insurance industries have witnessed in recent years across the Gulf region, Middle East and North Africa.
