The inaugural edition of the Gulf Film Festival (GFF) will honour the UAE's Ali Al Abdul and Kuwait's Abdul Hussain Abduraza and Sa'ad Al Faraaj for their outstanding contribution to the regional film industry.

The three stalwarts will be recognised for their work at an awards ceremony on April 18. The tribute aims to annually celebrate the distinguished work of film makers from the UAE and the gulf region.

Masoud Amralla Al Ali, Festival Director of GFF said: "The presence of these artists will further our mission to celebrate the art of cinema and confirm the festival as a forum that celebrates regional talent. This initiative also furthers our objective of inspiring an emerging generation of film makers, who we believe will take the industry to new levels of growth."
