I listen to what's on the radio. I also play music by Italian artists on my CD player. I love the language, and I've picked up a lot of Italian from music and film.
Does music play a role in your work?
As an integral and complementary component to film, music is very important to me. Music, like film, has the power to inspire and evoke all kinds of emotions. I also draw inspiration for my work from music.
Do you find sourcing music for films to be a collaborative experience?
Absolutely! I work with experienced artists and sound composers who understand what my films need, and are able to bring their own artistic value to my projects.
