Dubai: Al Wasl clinched the President's Cup last year through their striking force which wrecked the Al Ain defence to win the final 4-1.

The Al Wasl front line included two Brazilians, Anderson and Olivera, in addition to Emirati Mohammad Ennazy.

Anderson returned to his old club Sharjah after he helped Al Wasl win the double (President's Cup and League title). Olivera stayed and two Brazilians joined him in the front line - Andre Diaz and Rogerio Silva.

The Al Wasl forward line is the most dangerous. They are supported by gifted playmaker Khalid Darwish, with two quick wingbacks Tariq Hasan and Tariq Darwish. The weakness could be in the back line. They conceded 23 goals in 17 matches in the league so far.

Al Ahli have a strong defence. They conceded just 19 goals in 16 league matches.

However, central defender and skipper Mohammad Qasim will be absent due to injury and this is a setback as Qasim is an experienced defender.

Al Ahli's midfield, led by Brazilians Aussunsao and Cezar, along with Esmail Hammady, is dynamic.

In addition, the front line includes Faisal Khalil and his brother Ahmad, along with Iranian striker Milad Midawadi. They will be a threat to the Al Wasl defence.
