Dubai: The KEF Company FZC has stepped in to boost tennis at the developmental stages by organising its KEF Tennis Series 2012, starting next month.

The five-round series will have three development circuit tournaments and a couple of junior circuit events to be held at the Kempinski Hotel, Ajman, tennis courts.

Set to begin with the first of the three development circuit competitions on February 2, this year's series will have attractive prizes on offer including family passes for Ferrari World and gift vouchers.

"I believe that such development circuit series will boost tennis at the grassroots level and help in sustaining the sport in the UAE," said Faizal K.E., Chairman, KEF Company FZC.

"Hopefully, other corporates will also step in and help promote tennis starting at the grassroots levels," Faizal said.

Registration of players for the tournament has already commenced.

Among the early ones confirming for the Ajman event are boys under-14 champion Karim Najia along with Norhan Marouf and Rai Sengupta in the under-14 girls.
