Ajman: Al Jabeen Club has emerged champions in the Trucape Ramadan tournament organised by the Ajman Cricket Council and made up for their disappointing loss in the final of the U Score Ramadan Cup final at Al Dhaid.

Al Jabeen stopped Ibsons, who had also produced sterling performance in UAE's Ramadan tournaments this season, by 56 runs in the final. The star of the match was Al Jabeen's Irfan Arif who produced a fine all-round performance to walk away with the man of the final award.

Though Al Jabeen won the toss and opted to bat first, they began badly losing three wickets for just 14 runs. Arif (33) set the stage for an impressive total with Qasim Butt (32) by putting on 50 runs. Ibsons' Mohammad Tanvir bagged four wickets for just 19 runs backed by Fayyaz Ahmad, who took two wickets for ten runs. Farman Ahmad too chipped in with 26 runs and Al Jabeen managed to post 138 runs from 19.4 overs.

However, Ibsons batsmen failed to get a good start and crashed before Al Jabeen's tight bowling. Their top four batsmen were back in pavilion for just 22 runs.

Pacer Shabbir, who is Al Jabeen's guest player from Pakistan's Sialkot, did the damage by taking three wickets for 15 runs while Arif, fresh from his fine knock also picked three wickets for 20 runs. Sheraz too struck twice and Ibsons were bowled out for 82 runs in just 16 overs.
