Dubai: Two salesmen have been jailed after police caught them getting ready for consensual sex in the back seat of a car near Mirdiff City Centre.

The Dubai Misdemeanour Court jailed the two men, a 24-year-old Pakistani and a 28-year-old Filipino, for one month each although they denied the charge and pleaded not guilty.

Presiding Judge Abdul Majid Al Nezamy said the two accused will be deported following the completion of their punishment.

According to the arraignment sheet, prosecutors said 28-year-old C.K. allowed 24-year-old W.A. to have sex with him.

The defendants pleaded innocent and claimed in court that the accusation was groundless. They said they did not have any sexual intercourse.

Court records showed that a police patrol spotted W.A. waiting in his vehicle. When questioned by a policeman, W.A. claimed that he was waiting for his friend, C.K.

Police records said W.A. met C.K. in Al Mutainah and they chatted for a while before they exchanged contact numbers.

"I met him a year ago. We became friends and things never went beyond friendship since we first met… One April evening, we agreed to go out for dinner. I drove to his house. A police patrol stopped me while I waited under C.K.'s building," the Pakistani claimed during questioning.

W.A. claimed that while he presented his personal identification card to the policeman, C.K. arrived.

Police took the two men to the police station for questioning. The Pakistani alleged that police promised to let him go if he confessed that he had consensual sex with the Filipino.
