Dubai: Emirates, worldwide partner of rugby World Cup 2011, is offering young rugby fans the opportunity of a lifetime through its Rugby World Cup 2011 Flagbearer competition.

The Flagbearer competition, www.emirates.com/ae/flagbearer, will see one lucky fan travel to the World Cup in New Zealand to carry the flag for one of the participating teams, leading them out onto the field at the fourth quarter final in Auckland this October.

Open to 14-16 year olds within the UAE, the winner of the competition will receive two return business class tickets with Emirates from Dubai to Auckland, three nights accommodation in Auckland and two tickets to the fourth quarter final, for themselves and their guardian.

"Emirates is a worldwide partner of rugby World Cup 2011 and this competition gives passionate rugby fans in the UAE the opportunity to be on centre stage at one of the world's largest sporting events," said Khalid Bel Jaflah, Emirates Vice-President UAE Sales.

"This is a money can't buy opportunity that will create lasting memories for the winner. What better way to get involved in the Rugby World Cup than lead the teams onto the pitch!"

The opportunity to carry the flag onto the pitch in front of 60,000 fans and millions of television viewers around the globe will be something that the lucky winner is guaranteed never to forget.

The competition is open for entries up until Thursday, September 22 and requires participants to answer the following question: What is the name of Emirates loyalty rewards programme for young flyers?
