Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai received Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, at Zabeel Palace, Monday evening.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Shaikh Mohammad also received Heads and members of charity and humanitarian organisations, all of whom extended their best wishes to Shaikh Mohammad on the last ten days of Ramadan.
Shaikh Mohammad commended the relentless efforts and dedication the relief agencies are making to extend a helping hand to those in need internally and externally based on Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) saying ''He who guides to charity will have the same reward of the good-doer."
The humanitarians said they were grateful to God for the bounty he granted the UAE and its people and for the wise, generous leaders who exhort them to do charity and benevolence. They added that they considered the leadership's instructions as a lantern that lights their path to aid those in distress, feed the hunger, cure the patient and to shelter the homeless in different parts of the world.
They asserted that the UAE is well and our community is full of white hands and kind hearts. According to them, the UAE people are rich with their humanity, religion, and Arab and Islamic morals.
After performing Maghreb prayer, Shaikh Mohammad hosted an iftar banquet in honour of his guests.
