Abu Dhabi: The general headquarter of the Abu Dhabi police set Ramadan working hours from 8am to 6pm at the service centres of the vehicles and drivers licensing department.

According to Colonel Muhammad Al Ketbi, director of vehicles and drivers licensing department the work schedule will apply to all service centres including Al Ain, the main building and the "salama" building in Abu Dhabi, Musaffah, Bani Yas, Al Samha, Al Khazna police office, "Aman" building in Musaffah, and the service centre at the Emirates Driving school, the service centre at Abu Dhabi courts, the testing centres, the transportation department.

However work will stop at 1pm at Bani Yas and Musaffah police, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, "Salama building" in Waqn and Masakin, the service centre in the municipalities of Mazeed, Maqam, Sweihan, Al Heir, the Bahr court and the service centre in the Western region.

Commercial companies and agencies can apply their own schedule according to their policies. Colonel Mohammad Al Za'abi, director of correction facilities at Abu Dhabi police explained that visiting hours have been modified in Al Ain and Al Wathba facilities, during the Holy month of Ramadan, as follows:

Sunday: 9am to 2pm is for prosecution to visit males and females 

Monday: 9am to 5.30pm is dedicated to females visitors to both males and females 

Tuesday: 9am to 2pm is set for defence lawyer's visits to both male and female clients. 

Wednesday: 9am to 2pm is for visitors from embassies to both males and females 

Thursday: 9am to 2pm is for males visiting female prisoners. 

Friday: 9am to 5.30pm is for foreign males visitors to male prisoners. 

Saturday: 9am to 5.30pm is for Arab males visitors to males. 

Three days have been set to visit the Mafraq juvenile delinquency centre from 9am to 5.30pm as follows:

Monday:  for female visitors

Friday: for foreign male visitors

Saturday:  for Arab male visitors
