Dubai: Abdullah Al Musharrakh carded 38 individual stableford points to claim the 16th annual Dubai Duty Free UAE Nationals Cup at the Majlis Course last weekend.

He signed a one under par 71 gross and 38 point tally off a three-quarter handicap allowance.

Saif Thabet scored 35 points to finish in the runners-up spot, with Hamed Al Midfa a further one point behind. The best junior in the field went to Khalid Yousuf following his 34 point total.

Other winners included Khalid Yousuf who won best gross with 76, Ahmad Al Musharrakh, who won longest drive on hole 16 and Hassan Al Suwaidi was nearest the pin on the seventh.

Colm McLoughlin, managing director of Dubai Duty Free, said: "The annual Dubai Duty Free UAE Nationals Cup has been running for 16 years and the tournament has grown quite popular with more than 50 players this year.

The prizes were presented by McLoughlin and Sinead El Sibai from Dubai Duty Free.
