Abu Dhabi: Top weight Athlete De Sol leads a strong field of 13 runners in the 1,800m AV Wathba Stud Farm Cup I, at the Duindigt Racecourse in the Dutch capital Amsterdam today.

Trained by Miss Karin R. Van den Bos and ridden by J Bruning, the Dormane son from A La Volee looks good to get the job done.

The race is part of the Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival which aims to encourage small owners and promote Arabian horse breeding and racing around the globe.

The festival races are organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in collaboration with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society under the sponsorship of Invest AD, Areej Al Ameerat, the UAE's General Women's Union, Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2011, Wathba Stud Farm and Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
