Dubai: Butti Humaid Bin Bishr, 69, who is better known as someone who served as a personal secretary for Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, when he became the ruler of Abu Dhabi, died Tuesday morning at Dubai Hospital, Gulf News learnt.

Gulf News had interviewed Bin Bishr last year on the occasion of the UAE’s 39th National Day, as he was one of the people who personally witnessed the formation of the UAE federation back in the seventies.

Rashid, Bin Bishr’s son, told Gulf News that he [Bin Bishr] was hospitalised for the past one and a half months due to lung infection.

He said Bin Bishr will be buried Tuesday after Asr prayers in Al Ghusais cemetary.
