Beirut: Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe, was set to celebrate her wedding at a star-studded bash on Friday, a day after a hush-hush private ceremony.
News reports quted her agent,that the the 35-year-old brunette model-turned-singer, had a private wedding service in Beirut on Thursday.
According to Al Akhbar newspaper, the groom was Egyptian entrepreneur Ahmad Abu Husheima, one year her junior.
The wedding will not be a private function or family ceremony, but a huge celebration at one of the hotels in Beirut.
Haifa was quoted in March as saying that she wants people to celebrate with her and see her as a bride. Her manager at that time had announced that the singer will work even harder to entertain her fans after her marriage, because getting married does not mean forgetting the people who love her.
Guests at Friday's party are due to include American glamour model Carmen Electra, who gained fame by appearing in Playboy magazine, and singer Anastasia, the newspaper said.
