Abu Dhabi: The development of human resources skills is a priority and a concern that is close to the heart of the UAE government's strategy, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said.

Shaikh Mohammad on Tuesday presented certificates and appreciation awards to 57 graduates from the "UAE Government Leaders Programme".

Shaikh Mohammad said: "The development and building of human resources skills is at the heart of concerns and priorities of the UAE government's strategy which is in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan."

He urged government officials to bring out the potential and talent of fresh graduates and train them well, to be able to occupy leading positions.

Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the graduates working in the ministries and institutions of the federal government for undertaking the training and rehabilitation programme which lasted for 18 months. Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, were present.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, and a documentary on the workshops of governmental leaders organised by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

Followed by a speech by Abdullah Al Basti, Director of the UAE Government Leaders Programme who expressed his thanks and gratitude to the country's leaders.
