Dubai : Meydan horse-race track reflects Dubai’s policy in developing projects with a comprehensive vision.
In a statement to CNN, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, added that Meydan is considered a new practical proof to the competitive spirit that distinguishes Dubai and another indicator to its unlimited abilities in achieving quality goals in different area.
He also welcomed all Dubai’s visitors who arrived from all around the region and world to take part in the races and competitions or to view and follow the big sports event.
Shaikh Mohammad asserted that Dubai will not save any effort in serving the human community and wishing everyone a very good stay in their second home, the UAE.
Shaikh Mohammad also said that Meydan resembles a new icon which is added to the Dubai’s sports record of achievements, and that the it also surpasses its being a horse race track to a greater value, in its combining between sports, leisure and investment, whereas the race track itself fulfills all the aspirations and expectations of horse race enthusiasts.
Shaikh Mohammad also said a few hours before the launching of Dubai’s International Horse Racing Championship that his personal link to the horse racing sport stems from his genuine and authentic Arab culture and Bedouin origin.
He also said that Dubai does not only construct buildings in its different project, but it also builds small cities that answer the needs of UAE nationals and residents who live in Dubai, as well as visitors.
Shaikh Mohammad also added that he followed closely many horse races in different parts of the world, such as the US and the UK as well as those conducted in other countries, which gave him the idea of bringing together all those interested in the sport, as experts, players and audience, to the UAE through a huge project which answers all their needs and is also a part of the UAE’s heritage. From this idea, Meydan was born to be the biggest horse race track in the world, backed with all the necessary facilities and services that make the international standard city integrated and comprehensive on a very high level.
