Dubai: Last year's finalist Virginie Razzano was the first of the big casualties on the third day's play on Tuesday at the 2010 Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships being played at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.

Razzano went down to Israeli Shaher Peer in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 in a little more than an hour on one of the side courts at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.

The Frenchwoman had entered the second round on Monday with a 6-2, 6-2 result against Tunisian Selima Sfar.

However, she seemed to struggle with the heat on Tuesday and Peer made use of this to win and advance to the third round of the annual competition that is completing 10 years this year.
