Dubai: Irfan Haider and Humayon shared seven wickets to lead Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to a convincing seven-wicket victory over Lahore Gymkhana in a quarterfinal match of the first Al Dhaid floodlit cricket tournament for the Conmix Cup.
Haider took four wickets for 15 runs while Humayon claimed three for just eight runs as Lahore Gymkhana, batting first, were bowled out for 101 in 17.3 overs.
Shahzad (54 off 48 balls) was the only batsman who offered some resistance to the nagging Abu Dhabi Gymkhana attack.
Abu Dhabi Gymkhana, in reply, raced to the modest victory target in 17.3 overs with Haroon Iftikhar (39) and Haider (22) doing the bulk of the scoring.
