If you've ever wanted to have your own workshop but just didn't have the space for it, you can stop sulking now.
German ingenuity has found a way to make an entire workshop fit in one square foot.
"Cool Tool is a modular workshop system which has been in the market for 25 years," says Brigitte Renner, Sales Manager, Cool Tool, who is presenting the product at this year's Gitex Techonology Week. "You can cut anything from wood, plastics, metal, glass and even stone."
One-stop shop
Cool Tool comes in a set where you get 12 types of machines for milling, cutting, turning, drilling and sanding. You get to assemble your miniature workshop any way you like with two motors – meaning you can have two machines running at once. Even more impressive is that the kit can be upgraded into a miniature computer numerical control machine with modelling software such as Autocad. "This system is very simple and very easy to understand; you don't have to be a technician to use it," she said.
The basic set costs 999 euros (Dh4,900), and the large set which gives you 24 types of machines and three motors costs 1,799 euros (Dh8,800).
