Volumes on the stock market remained high yesterday, although gainers roughly cancelled out losses, leaving the indices little changed from overnight levels.

The Emnex inched up 0.16 points to 1,564.9, while the NBAD Index eased 0.66 to 2,503.27, and the NBAD Emirates Stock Markets Index 0.89 to 1,019.89.

The market saw 273,100 shares changing hands for Dh8.3 million, and a further 50 EK-2006 bonds being traded 0.02 per cent higher for a value of Dh5.02 million.

Dubai reported 141,000 shares traded in 48 deals in four companies for Dh2.33 million. Abu Dhabi saw 120,900 shares traded in 42 deals in five companies for Dh5.65 million.

The OTC had 9,200 Union National changing hands 50 fils higher at Dh34 for a volume of Dh0.31 million.

Mashreqbank rose Dh2 to Dh507 in thin volumes, while Dubai Islamic edged up 15 fils to Dh17, and Dubai Investment 10 fils to Dh5.90, with Emaar unchanged on balance at Dh16.60 in moderate activity.

In the capital, National Marine Dredging dropped Dh16.50 to Dh455, Abu Dhabi Islamic 50 fils to Dh15.50, and Oasis 26 fils to Dh9.74, but Al Khazna recovered Dh4 to Dh121, while Abu Dhabi National Hotels treaded water at Dh98.

The Emnex had insurance rising 4.07 points to 1,057.9, and banks 0.39 to 1,659.53, with services easing 0.65 to 1,564.78.
