Annika Ambotty and Zerene Wilson struck up a fine combination to help The Modern High School girls to an emphatic 41-4 victory against The Millennium School on the third day of the Modern Trophy yesterday.

Ambotty and Wilson were in full flow as they combined to deadly effect to lead the home team to a comfortable 23-2 after the second quarter.

The Millennium girls tried hard with Kirti Ramesh putting up an impressive show. But the day clearly belonged to the defending champions as new recruit Ankita Ohri dazzled with her speed to help Modern High walk away easy winners.

In another girls' match, The Westminster School derailed Emirates English Speaking School 31-12.

Farah J led the scoring 14 points for the winners, while Sharon fought well for the losing team with a personal contribution of 6 points.

Meanwhile, St Mary's School etched out a 39-4 victory against the Varkey International Private School (VIPS) with Miranda Rector scoring 12 points.

The Indian High School woke up from a late start to secure a 62-35 win over the New Filipino Private School, Sharjah.

The NFPS boys led 11-3 at the first time out, but found Muzammal Hussain and Lionel Lobo a bit too hot to handle as they strode away easy winners in the end.

In another engagement, New Indian Model School, Dubai, whitewashed Our Own English High School, Sharjah, 56-5.

In the last match of the day, new entrants Emirates National School, Sharjah, carved out a 46-15 victory against Delhi Private School.
