Etisalat said their delivering of high school results to mobile phones via SMS or WAP has become hugely popular.

Subscriptions to this service have reached 39,282. The service was launched by Etisalat in association with the Ministry of Education.

This year, Etisalat offered attractive rates of 50 fils per SMS. Registration is open from June 15 until the announcement of results and requires only two short messages.

High School Results service allows the subscribed customer to receive notification of the results of their examination as soon as they are officially announced by the Ministry of Education.

Customers can access more detailed results over eW@P. The service is powered by Emircom.

Mohammad Al Fahim, Executive Vice President- Marketing for Etisalat, said: "This service has been popular right since it was first launched few years ago. We wish all students all the very best."

To subscribe to the SMS service, students have to send an SMS containing their Student Examination ID to short code 1111.

Etisalat will then send a message to confirm the Student ID and Mobile number information is correct, and the mobile user then confirms the details.

Completing the registration enables users to receive their results on the registered mobile immediately after the official announcement by the ministry.

Students and their families can also view the details of their examination results on eW@P. Students can subscribe to eW@P or (GPRS) by calling 122 for Wasel customers and 125 for postpaid GSM customers.
