Mumbai: Rahul Mahajan, 31, son of late slain Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan, will marry Shweta Singh today at a quiet ceremony in Worli.

He also got permission from a Delhi court to travel to Seychelles for his honeymoon. The court has directed him to inform the investigating officer of his travel schedule. He is facing trial, along with five others, for allegedly consuming an unspecified quantity of drugs along with his father's key aide Vivek Moitra, who died of drug overdose, in June.

Mahajan will marry Delhi-based Shweta Singh at Blue Sea Banquets in Worli.

Shweta is a pilot with Jet Airways and comes from a family with an army background. The duo got engaged last month, two months after his father succumbed to gun shot wounds fired by his younger brother Pravin at Pramod's Worli residence.

The Mahajans have planned a simple wedding with the bride expressing her wish to marry in a Shiva temple, which is located in nearby Babulnath.

Though there will be no grand reception, the guest list includes top BJP leaders like former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, L.K. Advani and Rajnath Singh.
