Dubai: The conclusions presented based on the time stamp evidence are weak arguments in an attempt to discredit the authors of these shocking pictures.

Modern digital cameras have time stamps that are embedded in the image files at the exact time an image is exposed. However, the time shown is set by the camera user much like a watch. It is no secret that there are hardly two watches which are precisely accurate or in perfect synchronisation at any given time. With camera clocks the same applies.

A camera clock could be set to a particular time zone and a photographer may not have bothered to change it when travelling to a different time zone this is more common than not.

The most obvious argument against the "staging" allegations is the fact that in situations such as war, photographers would never collectively stage pictures.

The frenzy of competition is too great for any photographer to desire, or for that matter, be able to have the time and co-operation of the subjects to construct an image. Too many photographers were at the scene in Qana for staged pictures to have even been conceived. The allegations smack of propaganda aimed at detracting from the horrors of the Israeli attack on innocents in Qana.
