Dubai: UAE Exchange set their sights on a third straight crown with an 80-76 win over former champions Al Wasl Travel in the 10th Pilipino Basketball Athletes (PBA) Grand Fiesta Conference.
Missing three players for the match, Al Wasl Travel knew they were in for a tough time.
The UAE Exchange took early control of the match with some swift moves.
Former MVP Roy Lura, former PBA-Manila standout Jojo Manalo, Nano Cabrera and prolific guard Juvinel Yu combined for a 17-point blast in the final quarter for UAE Exchange.
Al Wasl Travel fought back through Boyet Muttia, Gary Hernandez and Louie Rosios, but UAE Exchange still had the last laugh.
