Dubai: The under-17 UAE national youth football team yesterday left for Slovenia for a three week training camp in preparation for the GCC youth championships which will be held in Saudi Arabia next month.
The youth team will play in a friendly tournament during the training camp on June 18 before they play another two warm-up matches on the 21st and 25th. Also they will meet with the Slovenian youth team in two warm-up matches.
Juma Rabea the former UAE senior national team coach is the current youth team coach. Rabea claimed that he hoped the youth team will benefit from the training camp.
"We will work hard and I hope the players will give their best in the GCC tournament," said the UAE coach.
