Dubai: Sunil Singh and Mahima Susan defeated Lalmoy and Radha Vasudevan to enter the veteran mixed doubles final of the India Club Western Union UAE Open Badminton tournament.
In the semifinal, Singh and Mahima won the match 15-9, 15-6.
The senior veteran singles semi final match between Suresh Kumar and Anto Davis did not get completed. Davis had to retire hurt after trailing 5-2 in the first set.
Kumar thus entered the final.
The men's singles match between Anil Mohan and Mohammad Vakili, saw Mohan win the 15-3, 15-8.
The men's doubles saw Ajith A. Jacob and Praveen defeat Abdul Shafeeq and Haneefa Sidheek 12-15, 15-1, 15-8.
Anish Alexander and Mathew Mithun got the better of Sajan V. V. and Mohammad K. P. 15-7, 15-5
Earlier, in the veteran mixed doubles quarterfinal match, Sunil Singh and Mahima Susan defeated Lal Sawlani and Rhea Rasquinha 15-2, 15-2.
The senior veteran singles quarterfinal resulted in Suresh Kumar defeating Mohammad Yousuf 15-5, 15-3.
Kumar thus made it to the into semifinals.
