President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, on Tuesday condemned the bombings on the Dahab resort in Egypt?s Sinai Peninsula.

In a cable of condolence, Shaikh Khalifa reiterated the UAE?s solidarity with Egypt in confronting the evil terrorist attackers who killed 23 innocent people and wounded at least 62 more.

Shaikh Khalifa said he was sure Egypt?s people and government would be able to overcome the consequences of such criminal acts which are contrary to all faiths and sound human behaviour. These acts, Shaikh Khalifa said were aimed at wreaking havoc and destruction and undermining security and stability.

General Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime minister and Ruler of Dubai and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces also sent two similar cables of condolences to the Egyptian president.
