Peshawar: Police on Saturday hunted for clues in the deadly suicide bombing at a mosque in northwestern Pakistan.

Police said they found severed legs believed to be those of the suicide bomber and that they were conducting DNA tests.

"No head has been found from the scene," said provincial police chief Sharif Virkhe. "We have found four legs which we have sent for DNA test, but it could be little help unless we know the family."

Former interior minister Aftab Sherpao was the target of the bombing, police said. Sherpao escaped unhurt but his son was wounded in the blast.

At least 50 people were killed in the blast on Friday, which was condemned by the United Nations and the United States.
