Abu Dhabi: The Health Authority - Abu Dhabi has recently introduced a Customer Service Centre to help strengthen its link with the public.

The customer service team responds to requests regarding information and/or clarification, complaints, grievances and health related services regarding improvement, suggestions, and comments.

“Customer service officers in [the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi] HAAD work throughout the week, except Fridays and Saturdays and are accessible to the public during working hours, from 7am to 3pm,'' said an official from the department.

The department claims to have so far received around 400 phone calls daily since its inauguration and the number, said officials, is expected to increase.

When Gulf News asked HAAD what their motive was for opening a Customer Service Centre at HAAD they said: “Customer feedback is essential to understand where the healthcare system can be improved.

“HAAD has established these three channels to facilitate access for all customers and promote effective communication. All information received from the customers is reported to the relevant departments at HAAD, and aggregated and evaluated statistically on a monthly basis.''
