Dubai: Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai, scored an exciting 28-24 win over Delhi Private School (DPS), Dubai, in the CBSE inter-school basketball tournament at the Our Own English High School, Dubai.
It was a well-fought match from the start. DPS led the first quarter 6-4. Emirates School reduced the lead in the second quarter to 16-12 and in the third quarter to 23 -18.
In the closing stage of the last quarter, Sharon Thomas from Emirates School scored the winning basket for her team.
In another match, Sharjah Indian Girls defeated Abu Dhabi Indian School 28-5. Klarissa Crasto top scored for Sharjah Indian School with 13 points.
St Joseph School Abu Dhabi trounced Ideal School Ras Al Khaimah 16-1. Tanura Tom Thomas top scored with six points for Abu Dhabi School.
DPS Sharjah too scored an easy 39-2 win over Our Own English High School, Al Ain. Vamika top scored for DPS with 16 points.
