Dubai: Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said arming children with knowledge and education is the only way to overcome poverty and hunger.
She was speaking at the celebrations held on the 10th anniversary of Mosaic, a charitable organisation, in Washington.
She also said that the school food programme of the International Food Programme is considered one of the most successful ways that enables a child to break the circle of hunger. The proceeds of the dinner were donated to the School Feeding Programme.
