Fujairah: Police have found the parents of a 10-year-old Emirati boy who was found wandering alone on a road in Fujairah on Monday, according to Fujairah Police.
The boy’s parents have been charged with neglect, said Lieutenant Colonel Dr Saeed Al Hassani, acting director of Media and Public Relations Department in Fujairah Police.
Fujairah Police found the parents on Wednesday after they posted photographs on social media and sought the public’s help in identifying the boy.
The police investigation is ongoing to find out the circumstances of the incident.
Police were despatched to the scene after a man reported spotting a 10-year-old boy wandering about on a road and appearing to be in a state of panic.The boy, the police said, has special needs.
“We did not receive any missing persons report either from Fujairah or from other emirates,” said Lt Col Al Hassani, who said the boy, is in good physical condition and is receiving care.
Police have posted the child’s photograph on their social media accounts and sought the public’s help in identifying the boy.
