Abu Dhabi: Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, has been appointed as the new Director General for the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
ADEC is an independent entity with full legal capacity to manage its own financial and administrative affairs, following the new law enacted.
In addition to his role as Director General at ADEC, Al Khaili is also the Assistant General Secretary for the Education Council General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi, and a member of the Executive Committee for Abu Dhabi.
"I am very proud to be appointed to the position of Director General to the newly reorganised Abu Dhabi Education Council. The future economic growth and civic development of Abu Dhabi will be the responsibility of our youth. Preparing them for their role in our society and to contribute towards our future prosperity is our responsibility," said Al Khaili.
Vision
The education law will contribute to the realisation of the vision of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Educational Council, to create a cohesive government structure for Abu Dhabi.
The law released on May 20, 2008, reorganises ADEC to achieve public policy goals and strategies.
